FORMER Thomas Cook distribution managing director Andrew Windsor is to leave at the end of the year, after 10 years with the company.
Windsor lost his job in November when his role was merged into the tour operating business and headed up by new distribution and tour operations MD Manny Fontenla-Novoa.
Although Windsor was offered a ‘significant role' with Thomas Cook AG, developing its international sales strategy, he has decided not to accept the job, which would have required him to spend time in Frankfurt and other European countries.
Chief executive Alan Stewart said: "It is without doubt that we owe a great deal of thanks to him for ensuring Thomas Cook retains its leadership in the retailing of travel in the UK market.”
