Small-ship cruise line Windstar Cruises has opened bookings for its 2027 European season.
There are 12 new itineraries across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, along with a range of special-event voyages.
It will have five yachts in Europe, including flagship Wind Surf, taking clients to smaller ports that larger ships can’t reach.
Jess Peterson, director of destination experience and itinerary planning at Windstar Cruises, said: “We’ve built 2027 around those moments: the smaller harbours you can only access on a yacht, the later evenings in port and the feeling of having Europe almost to yourself.”
Four yachts – Wind Surf, Star Legend, Wind Spirit and Star Pride – will operate from March through November, and the newly delivered Star Explorer – launching on December 28, 2026 – will sail in Europe year-round.
Wind Surf will sail in Greece for the summer season, taking over the region from the two smaller sailing ships, Wind Star and Wind Spirit.
Wind Spirit will homeport in Dubrovnik and Venice, where the ship is uniquely able to sail the Giudecca Canal and dock in the heart of the city, a privilege not allowed for larger ships.
The yacht will then spend the summer exploring coastal towns throughout the Adriatic.
In southern Europe, Star Legend will sail into less-travelled regions such as Puglia, Calabria and Sicily, and transit through the Corinth Canal.
All-suite yacht Star Pride will sail in northern Europe, while Star Explorer will explore throughout the rest of Europe.
Star Pride’s tulip itineraries are available as round-trips from Amsterdam or between Amsterdam and London.
Later in the season, the ship will explore the Baltics, the Norwegian fjords and Iceland.
The new Star Explorer will spend the year sailing between the Mediterranean and northern Europe, from Lisbon to London to Norway.
Special-event voyages include two Grand Prix cruise itineraries in June 2027 – one from Rome to Barcelona on Star Legend and another from Barcelona to Rome aboard Wind Spirit.
A Total Solar Eclipse voyage on Wind Surf departs from Athens on July 27, 2027, to view the solar eclipse on August 2, 2027.
The 2027 Northern Europe Mystery Cruise takes place on Star Pride from April 15-22, 2027, with a seven-night sailing from London to Amsterdam from £3,696. The northern European ports of call will be revealed 36 hours before arrival.
Other new 2027 itineraries include Off the Beaten Path Adriatic – Dubrovnik to Venice on Wind Spirit, from £2,546, and La Dolce Vita in Italy & France on Star Legend and Wind Spirit, from £1,054 for three days.
