Budget airline Wizz Air saw a surge in passenger levels in May following a strong Easter the previous month.
Numbers rose by more than 10% year-on-year to reach 5.7 million.
The load factor rose to 91.2% despite a 10% increase in capacity over the same month last year.
Wizz Air said: “The increase achieved in passengers carried and the associated lift in loads is very encouraging, particularly given the timing of Easter the month before.”
The airline, which releases its annual results on Thursday, saw rolling passenger numbers rise by 3.8% to 64.5 million in the 12 months to May.
