‘Freestyle’ apartment holidays are the way forward in Dubai, according to Gold Medal, which has signed a contract with the largest suite-hotel apartment operator in the Middle East, Bavaria Hotels International.
Located on the Sheikh Zayed Road, the Bavaria Executive Suites’ 2,100 two and three-bedroom apartments have a minimum square footage of 710 sq ft – substantially larger than the average 400 sq ft hotel room.
Kitchenettes, cable TV, wireless Internet and IP phone technology, 24-hour room service and mini-mart delivery and access to four restaurants and an Angsana spa facility are standard. A kids’ club is on site and ‘children’ are classed as such up to the age of 18.
“It offers everything a five-star hotel does and more,” said Gold Medal ground product and travel centre operations director David Robinson. “The apartment concept is a valid alternative for families looking for a value for money freestyle holiday.”
The suites are due to open mid-2007 but are bookable now. Based on current air deals Robinson said a family of four could expect to pay £999 for three nights.
