Established in 1959, the lodge sits directly on the banks of the Chobe River in Kasane, making it one of Africa’s most iconic and enduring safari destinations. Sharing a border with the world-renowned Chobe National Park and located just moments from the Sedudu Gate, the lodge offers guests an immediate connection to the wilderness!

The park itself is extraordinary. Legendary for the greatest elephant population density in Africa, it is not uncommon to encounter between 500 and 5,000 elephants on the Chobe River floodplains. A wildlife paradise, the park is also world famous for its large lion population and herds of buffalo. The diversity of wildlife along the riverbanks makes for exceptional photography and game viewing at every turn.

Accommodation at Chobe Safari Lodge comprises 32 Safari Rooms, 20 River Rooms and eight Classic Rondavels, all facing the Chobe River, plus 16 spacious family rooms and a sheltered campsite with 23 powered stands. Each safari room offers air-conditioning, luxurious en-suite bath and shower facilities and satellite TV. The river rooms are air-conditioned with large en-suite bathrooms, while the thatched rondavels sit independently with ceiling fans and en-suite facilities.

The lodge’s restaurant offers a rich taste of Africa, from English and Continental breakfasts to generous buffet dinners featuring game meats, roasts and barbecues. Guests can relax at either the Sedudu Bar or the Cocktail Bar, both offering scenic views of the Caprivi floodplains.

Activities include Chobe River boat cruises, day trips to Victoria Falls, game drives and spa treatments: everything you need for a complete African safari experience in a stunning location.
