It’s not too late to join Celebrity Cruises’ training programme
Joining forces with Travel Weekly for a fourth consecutive year, Celebrity Cruises for Beginners is back, ready to upskill a fresh wave of travel agents who are either new to the industry or discovering Celebrity Cruises for the fi rst time. The programme will give novices the tools they need to build their product knowledge, sharpen their selling skills and grow their sales.
The Celebrity Cruises for Beginners programme launched on March 19 and runs until September. Every agent who signs up will have access to an engaging series of monthly virtual masterclasses, led by Leon Hand, the line’s training manager for EMEA. Each masterclass will end with a question-and-answer session and a quickfire quiz where the winning agent can earn £20 worth of Celebrity Rewards points.
Agents will be able to tap into in-person, all-day workshops, which act as a fast-track option to complete the entire programme. Celebrity Cruises for Beginners also offers agents ship-visit opportunities, dedicated training materials and guides, as well as Celebrity Cruises goodies and giveaways.
The 2026 edition of the Celebrity Cruises for Beginners training programme is underway, with two masterclasses having taken place since it began on March 19. It’s proving more popular than ever before, empowering both new-to-cruise agents and those looking to brush up on their knowledge and top up their confi dence when selling the Celebrity Cruises brand and its unique selling points. However, there’s still time to join the programme and catch up on the fi rst two masterclasses in this year’s series, as well as discover everything else Celebrity Cruises for Beginners has to off er. Here’s how you upskill your product knowledge, sharpen your selling skills and elevate your sales.
The series of virtual masterclasses are a key part of the Celebrity Cruises for Beginners offering, with one every month from April to September. Two have already taken place, with April’s masterclass highlighting the cruise line’s unique selling points. This month’s masterclass was about talking value and targeting the ideal customer. It covered: how to sell Celebrity Cruises, focusing on value over price, increasing high value bookings and finding the right ‘high-end, high-spend’ repeat customer. But don’t worry if you’ve missed the first two masterclasses. Agents who sign up for the programme will gain access to all previous masterclasses to watch in their own time. To really appreciate the Celebrity Cruises experience and translate that to your clients, agents need to step on board one of the cruise line’s ships for themselves. As part of Celebrity Cruises for Beginners 2026, the programme is offering places for 20 agents to explore Celebrity Apex or Celebrity Eclipse during one of Celebrity Cruises’ UK ship visits in 2026. A ship visit is your opportunity to witness the Celebrity experience at first hand – to tour the decks, see some sample staterooms and relax in the lounges and restaurants – so you can provide real insights to help clinch bookings. Once you’ve seen the Celebrity difference for yourself, explaining it to your clients is the easy part.
