Advantage Travel Partnership chief executive Julia Lo Bue-Said is to tackle a 10k charity run for the first time.
She aims to raise funds for Hertfordshire-based Walk the Walk Family Support Services, having joined as a trustee last year.
Walk the Walk supports families, children and young people facing complex and often acute challenges, including declining mental health, self-harm, the impact of domestic abuse and poverty, and in some cases suicidal ideation.
The charity creates tailored programmes of support for each family, ensuring they are heard, seen and empowered to make positive change.
The work is delivered by highly qualified professionals, including family support workers and qualified therapists.
Every donation raised will go directly to an emotional wellbeing hub, helping ensure families can access therapeutic and practical support.
Lo Bue-Said said: “On 22nd March, I’ll be stepping well outside my comfort zone to take part in a 10k charity run alongside my family.
“I’m not a runner, so this is a genuine personal stretch, but it’s for a cause that truly matters.
“Last year, I joined a small local charity, www.walkthewalkcic.co.uk/mental-health-support/ as a trustee.
“I have been genuinely blown away by both the scale of the need and the quality of the services delivered, often with very limited funding."
