“Transformational change” for Glasgow and Southampton airports is being promised as part of a £350 million investment by owner AGS Airports.
Professional services firm WSP and architectural practice Pascall + Watson have been appointed as design partners following a competitive procurement process.
The design phase will shape the future layout, flow and passenger experience at both airports, ensuring they meet the growing needs of customers, airline partners and their regions, according to AGS.
WSP will provide full architectural and engineering design services across all key elements at Southampton Airport, including structural, fire safety and ventilation.
WSP and Pascall + Watson Architects will jointly lead a terminal design transformation at Glasgow Airport.
AGS Airports chief executive Kam Jandu said: “These appointments represent an important milestone in the delivery of ‘AGS Reimagined’.
