Two-thirds of UK holidaymakers plan to either take more trips this year or maintain their 2025 travel patterns, new research suggests.
The findings underscore travel’s “enduring value”, according to Neilson Beach Clubs, which carried out the study.
The poll of 2,000 people also found 41% of holidaymakers are returning to the same destination within three years, seeking the ease and enjoyment of places they already know and love.
As well as looking for “trusted adventures”, the holiday trends report highlights that bookers will be looking for a holiday that allows them to step away from tech, de-stress and boost their mental wellbeing in 2026.
As many as 67% of agreed that taking a break from tech plays a key role in helping properly unwind.
Neilson Beach Clubs chief executive David Taylor said: “We all look forward to our holiday escapes so much that when you’ve found something you love that delivers a great experience, it’s natural to return again with confidence that the holiday won’t disappoint.
“We see that across our resorts all the time, with many of our guests coming back year in year out, as they trust us to deliver a fantastic holiday again.
“It’s also encouraging for the industry to see consumer sentiment leaning strongly to even more holidays for 2026.
“It mirrors what we are seeing, with record demand for our Beach Club activity holidays and so we’ve launched two new Beach Clubs for summer 2026 in Sicily and Mauritius. These resorts will offer our guests the same fantastic Neilson activities and staff, in a more boutique laid-back setting.
“These new clubs will sit alongside some of our long-standing favourites to ensure we continue to offer great choice for our guests so that they keep coming back to enjoy their adventures with us.”
