The 2026 Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards have now sold out, with a waiting list in operation for the UK’s largest celebration of the leisure travel trade.
The event will take place on Thursday, January 15, with more than 1,200 guests packed into the Great Room of London’s JW Marriott Grosvenor House hotel.
The Globes will feature the presentation of an array of awards to suppliers and destinations based on thousands of votes from the travel agent readers of Travel Weekly, alongside special awards recognising excellence in sustainability, accessibility and employer wellbeing.
Two further awards will be presented to an unsung hero from within the industry, and an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the trade over their career.
The celebration, which will be held again in association with consumer media partner Hearst UK, will also feature first-class entertainment and a celebrity host to be revealed on the night.
Stu Parish, UK chief executive of Travel Weekly parent company Jacobs Media, said: “There were just a handful of tickets remaining for the 2026 Globes as we ended 2025, and the fact the event has sold out more than a week before the curtain rises is testament to the special place it holds for the UK travel trade.”
Lucy Huxley, editor-in-chief of Travel Weekly, added: “The Globes are always a spectacular celebration of the partnerships that underpin our industry and I can’t wait to see friends old and new as we kick off another year in true Travel Weekly style.
“Plans are in place to ensure this year’s event raises the bar once again, and we are incredibly grateful to Hearst UK and the many trade-supporting sponsors and partners who allow us to put on such a great show every year.”
