Balkan Holidays has recruited Wayne Szczambura as the regional sales manager for northern England, the Midlands, East Anglia and Wales.
He will be covering the maternity leave for Laura Utting.
Szczambura was previously a travel agent working for Tui in Huddersfield, and before that he was in Bulgaria for more than a decade, working during seven ski seasons and one summer season for Balkan Holidays.
Chris Rand, head of trade sales, said: “Wayne will be a valuable new member of our team, particularly thanks to his extensive knowledge of Bulgaria.”
Szczambura will visit agents to keep them updated with news, offers and incentives, and carry out training.
He will work alongside Lynsey Jones, who is the regional sales manager for the northeast, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Balkan Holidays offers summer holidays to Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia and a winter ski and snowboard holiday programme to Bulgaria, Slovenia and Romania.
