BUSINESS travel agency The Travel Company has picked up £12m of new business over the past few months and is on target to achieve record end-of-year sales of £200m.
Managing director David Whittaker said the agency had taken some new accounts from its rival Trinifold Travel, which went into administration last month (Travel Weekly August 16).
Last year, The Travel Company reported sales of £150m.
New accounts include the Bacardi Group, computer company CHC and management consultancy Mont Developments. These are all managed from the firm’s Marble Arch offices in London.
Others include film production company Redbuck Productions based in Farnham and recruitment agency Martin Ward from Windsor.
Meanwhile, the company’s Maidenhead office is planning to move to larger premises in the town following the growing number of account successes.
