Regent Holidays boosts Arctic collection amid increased airlift

Regent Holidays has added new itineraries and hotels to its Arctic Winter brochure for 2024-25, with many departures using new airline services.

The brochure showcases the best of Regent’s winter portfolio in Iceland, Greenland, Norway, Finland and Sweden, including Lapland.

Experiences range from Northern Lights hunting and dogsledding to snowshoeing, super-jeep safaris, ice and lava caving, winter cruising and whale watching.

The programme has been boosted by new direct airlift from Heathrow, Gatwick, Bristol and Manchester into Tromsø in Norway from November – courtesy of British Airways, SAS and easyJet – and Ivalo in Finland, thanks to new BA flights from Gatwick starting December 3.

Travel styles include small group trips, fly-drives, short breaks, rail journeys and cruising, with accommodation options including ice hotels, igloos and pods, mirrored forest cabins, treehouses, luxury retreats and spa hotels.

There are new trips in all five countries featured in the brochure, including the four-night Highland Winter Adventure in Iceland which combines two nights in Reykjavík with a secluded stay at the new Highland Base Hotel Kerlingarfjöll.

Also new are the eight-day Greenland Winter Wonders; the seven-day Twilight Train – destination Icehotel; the four-day Invisible Forest Lodge Winter Break; and the six-day Dog-sledding adventures in Svalbard.

Trips such as the Tromsø and Svalbard Twin Centre will use the new direct easyJet flights, including from regional airports Bristol and Manchester.

Daniele Boni, product manager, said: “The release of the Arctic collection is always exciting, as it represents a sense of adventure and anticipation among our team, agent partners and clients.

“The nights get longer, and the first glimpse of the Northern Lights is imminent, along with the host of snowy activities that the Arctic winters bring.

“This year, increased airlift makes it easier than ever to get there, and our beautiful new brochure, extensive programme and experienced, knowledgeable team will help agents take full advantage and offer something truly incredible to their clients.”
