Barrhead Travel will open its third Northern Ireland branch in Craigavon this autumn.
The branch will be based in one of Northern Ireland’s largest shopping destinations, Rushmere Shopping Centre, with six full-time positions created for the initial opening.
The agency chain confirmed its intention to continue expanding in the region following the success of its Newtownabbey store, which launched at the end of 2024.
The outlet exceeded its annual target for 2025 during the first quarter and has since expanded its team to meet demand.
Barrhead Travel said its third Northern Ireland shop, which will open following a £1.1m investment, reinforces its commitment to the region.
The shop will be located at the east entrance to the shopping centre, close to the Post Office.
Barrhead Travel managing director Nicki Tempest-Mitchell said: “Opening in Rushmere Shopping Centre is a very exciting move for us. It’s a phenomenal centre with high quality footfall and we’re expecting it to be a busy store.”
The Rushmere store will become Barrhead Travel’s third Northern Ireland shop, joining branches in Belfast and Newtownabbey, alongside a call centre in Coleraine.
Tempest-Mitchell added: “Northern Ireland is presenting us with real opportunity to grow our retail footprint. Rushmere will complement our existing network in the region, strengthening our brand presence even further as we look to progress with further expansion.
“Our Northern Ireland teams have a loyal client following as people seek the services of an agent they truly trust. The ongoing demand for an agent is on the rise as holidaymakers prioritise getting value-for-money, expert advice, and guaranteed financial protection.”
Barrhead Travel plans to employ additional staff to join the initial six agents in future.
