Antonio Paradiso promoted to new MSC Cruises global role

MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys UK and Ireland managing director Antonio Paradiso has been promoted to a new role.

He will continue to oversee the UK and Irish markets splitting his time between the company’s office near Heathrow and headquarters in Geneva while taking on the newly-created position of vice president of international sales for MSC Group’s cruise division.

Paradiso will report to MSC Cruises chief executive Gianni Onorato, assuming responsibility for Australia, South Africa and Scandinavia for MSC Cruises.

MSC Cruises’ country managers of Scandinavia, Claes Tamm; Australia and New Zealand, Lisa Teiotu; and South Africa, Ross Volk, will report to Paradiso.

His elevated role is in recognition of the “continued growth and success of the UK and Irish market,” the line said.

Paradiso said: “I would like to thank the MSC Group for putting their trust in me with this new position.

“I have worked for MSC for 16 years and have been on an incredible journey of growth within the organisation as I have progressed through the business.

“I am delighted to take on this new professional challenge and I am proud to further contribute to the success of this company globally.”
