Fred Holidays introduces ‘out-of-date’ range package guarantee 

An out-of-date range package guarantee has been introduced by Fred Holidays following agent feedback.

The new guarantee allows customers to secure package holidays beyond the standard airline booking window, typically limited to 11 months in advance.

The initiative follows research which found that 60% of its cruise and tour business is booked out of date range.

To qualify, at least one core element - such as a cruise or tour - must be available in live inventory.  

Flights will be based on departure and arrival points and confirmed once schedules and availability is released from airlines.

This enables longer payment timelines, making financial planning easier, according to the company.

Tour operations director Tricia Birmingham said: “We’ve listened to our travel agents partners who are experiencing growing demand from customers planning bucket-list cruises and tours - some as far ahead as summer 2027. 

“Our out-of-date range package guarantee provides the competitive service, greater flexibility, price protection and peace of mind that our agent partners and customers have been demanding.”
