Hays Travel is set to launch a bookable webpage for clients to book with one of the group’s 700 Personal Travel Consultants (PTCs).
The agency said the move follows “significant investment” that enables PTC homeworkers to add a booking link to their own web page – searchable via hays-travel.co.uk and the Hays Travel app.
Holiday Webtech has developed the new functionality, described as “revolutionary for PTCs” and it will allow customers to search for and book their holiday at a time to suit them.
As well as offering customers “convenient” access to holiday details, PTCs will also be able access to search data and analytics for follow-ups.
Customers booking with their chosen PTC via the Hays Travel app can keep and view their travel documents in one place, settle balances, add holiday extras such as airport parking and car rental, and view a countdown to travel.
Amy Holland, head of PTC and PTC lead supported, said: “I am so excited to launch this direct sales service to our PTCs – our agents involved with the trial are delighted with the results.
“Everything is fully integrated after booking – even our affordable direct debit can be automatically set up for the customer, without any manual intervention from the agent.
“We want our PTCs to unlock any untapped potential to grow their business, attract and care for their customers and manage their time.”
Michelle Rodde, a Hays Travel PTC, since 2016, said: “Having a bookable website will ensure that our customers secure the deal at their own convenience if they are unable to reach us by telephone.”
Mathew Stevens, who has been a Hays Travel PTC since 2020, said he was “very happy” with the new option, adding: “When on holiday or taking a day off, we can still get bookings and give our customers a platform to look at.”
Natalie Taylor, a Hays Travel PTC since 2015, commented: “It’s a great way for customers to have a browse in their own time, and for us to get a better idea of how people shop for holidays. We’ll be able to see what people are searching for, when they’re looking, and what’s popular.”
Jack Tinkler, a Hays Travel PTC since 2022, said the new bookable website gives customers the “freedom and flexibility to explore and book their holidays whenever it suits them”.
“It’s perfect for those who prefer self-service and want the convenience of planning outside of regular hours,” he added.
