Premier Travel has taken on three former Baldwins Travel branches along with the shops’ former employees.
It will re-open the high street stores under its branding in Maidstone, Uckfield and Tonbridge in the next two months.
They will be staffed by original agents from Baldwins Travel and are expected to be up and running by late August or early September.
Managing director Paul Waters said: “We’re thrilled to welcome such experienced professionals into the Premier Travel family.
“I’ve personally had the pleasure of speaking with the teams in recent months, and it’s clear they share our passion for delivering exceptional, personalised travel experiences. We know they’ll be a fantastic fit with our culture and values.
“This isn’t just about growth for us — it’s about protecting what matters in our industry: personal service, local knowledge, and long-term relationships.”
Waters added: “We’re passionate about investing in the high street and keeping travel expertise accessible to all. With these new branches, we’re not only creating stability, but also fresh opportunities for our staff, our customers, and our industry partners.”
The shops are currently being rebranded with new signage, systems, with in-branch materials being introduced over the coming weeks.
Waters said: “This is a very exciting time for Premier Travel. We’re proud to be investing in the high street, supporting local jobs as well as local communities and welcoming such talented teams into our growing network. We look forward to officially opening the doors in Maidstone, Uckfield and Tonbridge very soon.”
The company said the new branches would enhance Premier Travel’s existing network in the south east of England and strengthen its brand presence and sales in the region by creating opportunities for collaboration, shared resources and marketing.
It joins the company’s Seaford, Bexhill, and Reigate offices and its managed service branch Hallmark Travel in East Grinstead.
Premier Travel said the move would not only protect the branches’ future but also allow for growth of its Premier Travel tour operation and supplier partners, and said it was committed to working collaboratively to maximise the new locations through stronger marketing, local events, co-branded activity, and shared expertise.
