Search engine Skyscanner has released a package holidays option, claiming to bring together more than 25 million packages every day from major tour operators.
The website said its new package comparison service uses metasearch technology to “further disrupt a traditional travel space”.
The new capability means it now offers packages from brands such as Tui, Jet2, easyJet holidays, lastminute.com, Expedia, Loveholidays and On The Beach – alongside its other flights, hotels and car hire offerings.
Skyscanner also revealed that consumer research shows more than half (52%) of UK travellers are considering booking a package holiday this year, with cost savings top of mind for many (62%).
The research also found that a third (32%) of Gen Z and more than a quarter (28%) of Millennials are more likely than older travellers (23%) to favour a package holiday in 2026.
Cat King, global commercial vice-president at Skyscanner, said: “We believe that finding the best travel deal shouldn’t feel like another chore and that’s why we’ve launched Packages, our new package comparison product, which searches 25 million packages every day across the biggest UK package holiday providers to find travellers the best options for their budgets.
“We’re excited to shake up a traditional part of the travel industry. By applying our smart technology and unrivalled pricing data to package holidays, we’re doing what Skyscanner is known for – comparing the best options and taking the stress out of planning.
“We’re already seeing strong demand at the start of the year for flight-plus-hotel, giving package providers a powerful opportunity to reach engaged travellers on our platform.”
