Warm weather awaits in The Bahamas, just a short hop from the US
In Nassau Paradise Island, beachfront hotels and lively resorts are just steps away from long stretches of white sand that give way to glistening turquoise water.
With regular, quick flights from Florida and other hubs along the East Coast – some flights are just an hour – it’s the perfect destination to twin with the US.
And there are direct flights from the UK too, so your clients can get to paradise quicker than they may think.
Sun, sea and swimming
The Bahamas enjoys about 300 sunny days a year and Nassau Paradise Island’s beaches are ideal for soaking up that sunshine. The shallow waters of the Caribbean are perfect for paddling, and the average water temperature of 26C makes taking a dip even more enticing.
Venturing beyond the shoreline is easy with the island’s watersports offering. Take a boat trip for a day of island-hopping around the hundreds of coral islands that make up The Bahamas, including stops for swimming and kayaking. At Atlantis Paradise Island – one of Nassau Paradise Island’s member properties – go snorkelling in the Ruins Lagoon to swim with the thousands of fish and rays.
Fuss-free flights
Reaching Nassau Paradise Island from the US couldn’t be easier.
It’s just an hour’s flight from Miami or 90 minutes from Orlando. Atlanta is only a two‑hour flight away (Delta flies from Edinburgh to Atlanta) and New York three hours.
There are direct flights from the UK too. British Airways operates a direct service every day from Heathrow, while Virgin Atlantic flies the same route twice a week in the summer.
Three iconic resorts
1. Atlantis Paradise Island

2. Baha Mar
Close to vibrant downtown Nassau, Baha Mar is made up of three hotels. Baha Bay – The Bahamas’ newest waterpark – will keep kids and adults entertained with speedy slides and a surf simulator.
3. The Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort
This hotel offers seclusion with its intimate, ocean-view suites. Guests can sample Michelin-level food, make a splash in the family lagoon pool or try a Balinese-inspired treatment in the spa.
