Life on board

Fred. Olsen’s fleet of ships – Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral – offer a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Relax or chat with fellow guests in the Observatory and Bookmark Cafe on Balmoral, the cosy Piano Bar on Bolette or popular Morning Light pub on all three ships.

Guests can also enjoy the art studio, flower boutique and card room, or simply sit back and watch the scenery go by. There are plenty of culinary choices too, from Asian fusion and international cuisine to daily afternoon tea and speciality dining that draws inspiration from the surroundings. Each evening, the excitement continues with theatre performances, live music and comedy.

Incredible journeys

Fred. Olsen takes passengers to all corners of the globe. And for clients who can’t settle on a single itinerary, there are Grand Voyages and World Cruises that bring together a whole host of highlights.

With its smaller size, Balmoral calls at some of Europe’s more petite ports, from sunkissed sailings in the Mediterranean to wild scenery in Scotland and whale watching in Iceland.

Bolette and Borealis venture farther afield, with 2024-25 fly-cruises in South America, Australia, the Pacific Islands and beyond, bringing each destination to life through onboard experiences such as cooking demonstrations, in-depth talks and stargazing on selected itineraries.

And every Fred. Olsen journey is timed to visit in the perfect season, so guests can learn the samba during Rio Carnival, chase the northern lights in Norway or perhaps admire Canada’s autumn colours.

Free drinks with Fred

On selected 2024-25 Fred. Olsen sailings, guests can enjoy a complimentary Drinks Package, allowing them to relax with a wide choice of drinks in the lounges, bars and restaurants.
