Hays Travel has awarded an agent with a car as part of its new scheme thanking staff for their hard work.
Richard Farmer, from the Wombwell branch, was the first winner of the Big Hays Travel Thank You initiative, launched to recognise and reward staff.
He was chosen from a prize draw which saw all employees across the business entered, and received a Hyundai i10. Next month’s prize is a £5,000 cruise.
Farmer, who joined Hays Travel two-and-a-half years ago, said: “I am absolutely over the moon and in shock – I can’t believe it. I have never won anything in my life before.”
Hays Travel chair Irene Hays said: “We have really been working hard to recognise the contribution of everyone working in the business.
“We know how all of our people are so focused on giving the best service to our customers and in the case of head office, supporting everyone else.
“We wanted to create a sense of excitement and just bring back a bit of fun.”
