The Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers has honoured agents for their commitment to the sector with the prestigious 2024 Atas Recognition Awards.
The awards were announced at the Atas annual conference, held at the Royal Armouries, Leeds, from October 15-16.
Claire Brighton, Atas director, and Atas chair Zina Bencheikh, EMEA managing director of Intrepid Travel, presented the awards, which recognise agents who have showcased touring and adventure holidays in the most innovative or successful ways.
A new category had been added for 2024 – Expedition Cruise One to Watch – which recognises the expansion within this sector and the increasing numbers of agents who recognise the opportunities of expedition cruises.
Entries were judged by Brighton and a panel of experts from the touring and adventure sector.
Brighton said: “We have been delighted with the entries we received for this year’s awards – the standard of submissions gets better every year.
“The judges see a fantastic cross-section of the innovative and dedicated ways that travel agents across the country support the touring and adventure sector.
“It was tricky to choose which ones were the winners as the entries were so strong.
“Congratulations to the winners and shortlisted agents – they have really showcased and backed our members in many inventive and successful ways.”
