G Adventures has parted ways with global purpose specialist Katie Bunting in a restructuring of the operator’s UK sales team.
Recruitment is set to begin for a position with a “new regional scope”, with the aim of being able to “better serve” agents.
Bunting said she was “gutted” her role had been made redundant and would miss her colleagues.
She added: “I have loved my time at ‘G’ – how could I not when I’ve got to experience some incredible destinations and made some great friends along the way?”
Her aim is to return to the industry as soon as possible, she said.
Brian Young, managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at G Adventures, said: “We have recently refocused our sales team’s responsibilities to better serve our agency partners in key regions across the UK.
“We will soon be recruiting for a role which has a new regional scope but as part of these changes, we are saddened to announce that our global purpose specialist, Katie Bunting, will be departing the company.
“We extend our warmest thanks to Katie for her contributions to the business and wish her all the best for the future.”
