Two HAL ships to run Canada and New England sailings

Two Holland America Line ships will be deployed next year cruising New England and the east coast of Canada.

Zaandam and Nieuw Statendam have been deployed between May and October 2022 on a series of six to eight-day itineraries.

Nieuw Statendam, the line’s first Pinnacle Class ship to sail in the region, will also run a new 24-day voyage from Boston on August 3 to Newfoundland, Greenland and Iceland.

The vessel will also run six and eight-day cruises between Boston and Quebec and longer 10 and 11-day departures.

Zaandam will sail between Boston and Montreal on a series of seven-day cruises with weekend departures.

Both ships will cruise the region in the autumn to view the changing foliage with scenic cruising through the Gulf of St Lawrence and Saguenay Fjord.

Zaandam will run nine-day repositioning cruises between Montreal and Fort Lauderdale in May and October, while Nieuw Statendam sails from Quebec City to Fort Lauderdale in October on a 14-day voyage.

Up to $2,300 in on board amenities are available for bookings made by April 19. Cruise-only rates start at $799 per person plus taxes, fees and port expenses.
