Escorted land tours specialist Trafalgar is expanding into river cruising, offering two itineraries along the Rhine and Danube which start in spring 2026.
The operator – part of TTC Tour Brands – is opening sales exclusively to its travel agent partners before of a public release, giving agents the chance to secure preferred sailing dates and cruises ahead of the general booking window.
The launch offer for any Trafalgar river cruise booked between May 6 and June 30 allows agents to enter a draw to win a 2026 river cruise for two – and earn an instant £50 lifestyle voucher per booking.
Agents can also unlock double global tour rewards, representing 10% off, for past TTC Tour Brands guests, when booked by May 31.
Melissa DaSilva, deputy chief executive at TTC Tour Brands, said: “We’ve always been dedicated to making it easy for travellers to connect with the heart and soul of every destination. Now, we’re bringing that same philosophy and unmatched experience – valued by our travel agent partners – to Europe’s iconic rivers.”
She said features from tours, such as ‘Be My Guest’ and ‘Make Travel Matter’ experiences will be on the river cruises, which will start sailing on April 11, 2026.
Best of the Danube is an eight-day cruise on the 128-passenger Trafalgar Reverie (pictured), from Budapest to Passau, via Bratislava and Vienna.
It costs from £2,649 per person, based on double occupancy.
Best of the Rhine and Amsterdam is a 10-day on the 128-passenger Trafalgar Verity, from Basel to Amsterdam, visiting Cologne and Strasbourg along the way.
Rates start at £3,149 per person, based on double occupancy.
DaSilva added: “Agents who have supported Trafalgar for years can be confident in the river cruise experience we’re creating.
“We can’t wait to share that same feeling of ease and comfort, local connection and joy of discovery we’re going to bring to Europe’s rivers aboard our two beautiful ships, the Trafalgar Reverie and Trafalgar Verity.”
Trafalgar is chartering both ships, Trafalgar Verity and Trafalgar Reverie, which are owned by sister-brand Uniworld.
