Tui Group has launched a new standalone low-cost travel brand in the UK aimed at budget-conscious, digitally savvy consumers.
Sundeals, a direct-to-consumer digital brand that will not be available for sale through travel agents, provides access to 20,000 hotels across more than 100 destinations, with core Mediterranean hot spots including Spain, Greece and Turkey.
Lead-in package prices start from £290 per person for Greece, £297 per person for Turkey, and £316 per person for Spain.
The platform aggregates accommodation and flight inventory from across Tui Group alongside third-party suppliers, allowing customers to pair hotel stays with flights from carriers including Ryanair, easyJet and Tui’s own airline.
Tui said the brand was created following consumer research across European markets to target “savvy deal hunters” and eliminate what it describes as “Bookers Burnout” caused by overly complex comparison sites.
Flight-inclusive packages booked through the brand are Atol protected, with customer service delivered via a digital-first model supported by live chat.
Kevin Nelson, managing director of Sundeals, said: “We know there is a large group of travellers who genuinely enjoy researching and planning their holidays. They’re confident, digitally savvy and like the feeling of finding a holiday, and deal, that’s right for them.
“But these travellers told us that they’re tired of spending hours going round in circles trying to compare options and work out whether they’ve truly found the right trip – a feeling that we’re calling Bookers Burnout.
“Sundeals has been designed specifically for these savvy deal hunters, helping them cut through the holiday clutter and make decisions with greater confidence.
“We’ve launched with a simple user experience focused on the core features customers told us they need most, and over time we’ll continue to introduce smart tools and innovations that make finding and evaluating holiday options even easier.”
Nelson added that the platform has launched with a streamlined booking experience, with plans to introduce further smart search features and savings insights over time.
While the brand has made its initial debut in the UK market, Tui confirmed it has long-term ambitions to roll out the Sundeals model across additional European markets.
