There’ll be a new five-star premium all-inclusive family hotel in Paphos in 2026, as the Louis Imperial Beach transforms into the new Imperial Island Resort
Paphos is best known for being the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite. But just steps from the glittering Mediterranean from where the Greek goddess is said to have risen, a Paphos retreat is about to experience its own rebirth.
Over the coming months, the Louis Imperial Beach will undergo an extensive renovation, split into two phases. It will reopen in May 2026 after the first phase as a five-star premium all-inclusive resort and be renamed Imperial Island Resort.
If you need inspiration for your clients on where to send them in Cyprus for an unforgettable family escape, then look no further. Here are four reasons to get your clients excited for the reopening of Imperial Island Resort.
The first phase of Imperial Island Resort’s refurbishment, which will be completed prior to the resort’s reopening next year, will include a complete overhaul of all its 239 rooms. Its soft tones and warm colours of beige and cream echo the golden beach the hotel looks out onto, while more than half of the rooms will be converted into fully equipped family suites with sliding doors that deliver spacious comfort and elegance. There’ll be a choice of land and sea views for clients among the various room categories: Superior Double, Superior Family with sliding doors, Two-bedroom Suites and Sea View Suite Made for Two.
The culinary offering at Louis Imperial Beach is legendary, and there’s good news for new and returning guests – Imperial Island Resort will continue that rich legacy of delicious all-inclusive food. Clients can start their day right with a traditional Cypriot breakfast in the main restaurant, which by night offers a different themed buffet each evening.
Elsewhere, Pygmalion is the place to be for gourmet burgers accompanied by fries, homemade sides, pickles and more, while Fiki serves up signature Japanese fusion food such as sushi, sweet and sour duck and beef fillet teppanyaki. A new snackeria, complete with a show-cooking station, ensures no guest goes hungry, while the resort’s premium all-inclusive offering includes a selection of cocktails and imported alcoholic drinks, as well as a daily teatime experience.
In its mission to ensure families have an unforgettable time, two new kids’ clubs will launch when the resort reopens next year. The new kids’ club for younger adventurers will feature an outdoor soft play area and creative spaces that will fuel their imagination, while the teens club is ideal for older children to socialise, make friends with fellow guests and immerse themselves in gaming zones, interactive technology and more.
As part of phase two of its renovations (November 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027), Imperial Island Resort will welcome a new water park, complete with thrilling flumes and a kids’ pool with smaller slides and exciting water features. Alongside this, two new family pools will be created to allow guests alternative ways to cool off and relax during their Cypriot summer escape.
These impressive new features will be complemented by the relandscaping of Imperial Beach Resort’s gardens.
