Seven trips not to miss with Railbookers

Norway in a Nutshell

This eight-day adventure combines flights, scenic rail journeys, ferry rides and boat trips, offering an unbeatable way to experience Norway’s stunning landscapes. Clients will be whisked from the capital, Oslo, onto the legendary Flåm Railway, known as one of the world’s most scenic train rides. The Glacier Express

This five-day Swiss journey encompasses Zurich’s fairytale Old Town, the glamour of St Moritz and a journey on the world-famous Glacier Express. This legendary panoramic train winds through the Swiss Alps, crossing the Landwasser Viaduct, taking clients past sparkling lakes and culminating with views of the Matterhorn in Zermatt.

Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Budapest

Four European capitals are connected in one journey by rail on this nine-day adventure. Clients can discover Berlin’s fascinating history at the Berlin Wall and Brandenburg Gate, wander the streets of Prague’s Old Town and soak in the grand palaces and delicious cafes of Vienna. Their trip winds down with relaxation in the famous thermal baths of Budapest and a scenic cruise on the Danube.

Grand Vienna, Salzburg and Munich

For a longer European itinerary consider this 11-day train journey, which lets clients explore the city of Vienna before taking an unforgettable train ride to Salzburg, with a side trip to the town of Hallstatt – ringed by dramatic alpine peaks. They’ll pack in even more cultural experiences in Munich, with visits to local beer halls and an excursion to the magical Neuschwanstein Castle.

Lake Como and the Bernina Express

Suggest clients experience panoramic views from the Bernina Express, a bucket-list railway journey that begins in Zurich, before trundling past glaciers, mountains and sky-high viaducts on a descent into the Italian town of Tirano. From here, clients can continue to discover Italy’s mountainous north or relax on the shores of Lake Como.

 Porto and Lisbon

Send clients to the heart of Portugal’s wine country in Porto, where they can sample traditional food, enjoy a Douro River cruise and sip wine in local vineyards without worrying about driving between them. An easy train to Lisbon gives visitors the chance to try pasteis de nata, ride the capital’s famous trams and take a day trip to the colourful, storybook castles of Sintra.

Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Nice

Over seven laid-back days, clients will wander the cobbled streets of Aix-en-Provence and follow in the footsteps of Cézanne in his hometown, before exploring Avignon’s Palais des Papes before continuing by train to the Mediterranean coast. Nice promises lively markets, more artistic flair at the Matisse and Chagall museums and a chance to unwind on soft, sandy beaches
