Domes Resorts has become a majority shareholder in hospitality platform Casa Collective to help support the group’s “international expansion”.
The deal marks “the next stage of international growth” for Casa Collective, which operates 13 hotels through its three brands: Cook’s Club, Casa Cook and XIA.
As a result of the transaction, a further four properties are expected to join the portfolio, as well as “a broader set of prospective projects” that are currently under review.
Casa Collective will continue to operate as an independent hospitality company, while benefiting from Domes Resorts’ “operational expertise, development capabilities and access to capital”.
The partnership will also offer “enhanced international distribution and marketing reach, access to development and financing opportunities, as well as operational expertise and brand development support”.
The two companies will benefit from “cross-brand collaborations and shared guest communities”.
It is hoped that the deal will enable Casa Collective to expand through franchise, management and strategic development collaborations and “accelerate” its international footprint.
Domes Resorts chief executive Dr George P Spanos said: “Our ambition is to provide hotel owners and partners with a strong and reliable platform for growth while ensuring that each brand retains its unique character and guest experience.”
The Casa Collective brand portfolio comprises Cook’s Club, a social hospitality concept centred around music, food and community; minimalist boutique brand Casa Cook; and newly added XIA, which specialises in family-orientated experiences.
