EasyJet is to resume flights to Israel next spring after flights were suspended due to the war in Gaza.
The budget carrier is making a return to Tel Aviv from Luton airport in March with four flights a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
One-way fares listed on the airline’s website start at £129.99 for a September 13 departure.
The airline stopped serving Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport in September 2023 at the start of the conflict and has repeatedly postponed the resumption of flights.
Meanwhile, local media have reported that Wizz Air plans to establish a hub in Israel in April 2026 in a declaration between chief executive Jozsef Varadi and the country’s transport minister Miri Regev.
Wizz Air has already restarted flights to Israel from points in Europe, including a route from Luton to Tel Aviv.
The development came as the eastern and central European low fares carrier moved to expand distribution via travel agents.
Wizz Air is opening its content to third-party distribution in a bid to strengthen its presence in the business travel market.
Flights are being distributed via travel technology platform Kyte, making it one of its first aggregator partnerships for indirect distribution.
The API platform is focused on delivering distribution for low cost carriers without relying on traditional global distribution systems.
Kyte’s platform will provide access to an API-driven ability to search and book Wizz Air flights, ancillaries and bundle fares for corporate and leisure travel sellers.
The airline’s chief commercial officer Silvia Mosquera said: “We are constantly looking for innovative ways to bring our ultra-low fares and services closer to our customers.
“Partnering with Kyte allows us to open a new chapter in corporate travel distribution - one that is fast, flexible, and built for the future.
“This collaboration reflects our commitment to digital transformation and to meeting the evolving needs of travel sellers and their clients.”
Kyte co-founder and chief executive Alice Ferrari added: “It’s great to see Wizz leveraging their advanced distribution platform to extend their fares and inventory across a broad network of travel agencies, enhancing indirect corporate and retail channels via Kyte.
“We are excited to be working with Wizz Air to grow their market presence without compromising their low-cost essence."
