Explora Journeys appoints Megan Saunders as business relationship expert

Explora Journeys has appointed former Silversea business development manager Megan Saunders as a business relationship expert in its UK and Ireland sales team.

Saunders, who has 10 years of trade experience in the luxury cruise sector, will be responsible for the central and south of England as well as Wales.

She will report to Priti Mehta, head of sales for the UK and Ireland, while working closely with business relationship leads Jenny Wade and Andrew Schweitzer.

Mehta said: “We are thrilled to have Megan on board to help build new [relationships] and to continue significant and meaningful partnerships across the south of the UK.”

In addition to Silversea, Saunders has also previously held roles at Windstar and Clia.

She said: “I am excited to be joining the Explora Journeys team. As we continue to grow and offer unprecedented luxury experience at sea, I look forward to working with our partners, existing and new, to continue to grow our mutual business.”

Explora Journeys, the luxury ocean brand of MSC Group, launched in 2021 and operated its first sailing in 2023.

Mehta said: “Our ambitious team demonstrates Explora Journeys’ dedication to the travel advisor community, as well as increasing growth in these important [UK] regions.”

The cruise line appointed Anna Nash as president in September 2024 following her decade at Aman.
