Opening in April, the new Iberostar Selection Es Trenc is a five-star hotel offering a portal to the Majorcan way of life
Majorca is well known for its glorious beaches, with more than 250 of them stretching for a combined 30 miles, like slivers of gold wrapping themselves around the island’s fringes. In Majorca’s south, Es Trenc is home to one of the island’s most pristine beaches, a flour-white coast lapped by azure waters – a scene that wouldn’t look out of place in the Caribbean.
Thanks to its beachfront location, Iberostar Selection Es Trenc, due to open this month, gives your clients the chance to soak up this idyllic view without moving a muscle. Sandy Mediterranean living awaits both couples and families.
Inspired by the Med
With blissful Majorcan landscapes on its doorstep, this Iberostar property didn’t need to look far when drawing inspiration for its interiors. Soft tones of beige and cream echo the area’s coastal sands, bringing the outside in. Guests can relax with the sea firmly in view as every room and suite has a balcony from which to enjoy it.
Accents of green are a nod to Majorca’s leafy nature, which can be seen further in the hotel’s communal areas such as the lobby and restaurant, where vases of emerald foliage blur the boundaries with Mother Nature. The Iberostar hotel’s on-site restaurant also brings nature onto clients’ plates, focusing on local recipes largely built around responsibly caught seafood and locally sourced vegetables. Its name, Salivent, combines two Majorcan words, sal (salt) and vent (wind), which reflect how Majorca’s scenery, and the produce grown within it, has been sculpted by natural forces.
The Mediterranean way of living is a relaxed one and that is embodied in the hotel’s spa and wellness area through its massages and treatments, with its scrubs and wraps using sea salt (Flor de Sal from Es Trenc) and water.
Well-kept secret
Ibeorstar’s countless references to nature’s majesty means your clients will be unable to resist it for long. The hotel’s location is one of its major drawcards – and not just for the cashmere-soft sands of Es Trenc.
Next door lies the flamingo-pink Salinas d’Es Trenc, Majorca’s historic salt flats where the island’s very own ‘white gold’ has been produced for centuries. As well as seafood, salt was the bedrock of Colònia de Sant Jordi, the town in which Iberostar Selection Es Trenc sits.
Once a sleepy fishing village, the lively town of Colònia de Sant Jordi offers plenty for clients to do away from the hotel, whether they stroll around the weekly market or toast the blazing sunsets with a drink at a chiringuito (Spanish beach bar). Clients can also choose whether to head inland to explore the honey-hued villages of Santanyí and Campos, which offer easy access to the wild landscapes of Mondragó Natural Park, or take a boat to Cabrera island’s coves, cliffs and rich birdlife.
The power of Star Prestige
In this corner of Majorca, Mother Nature has certainly brought her A game, but so has Iberostar Selection Es Trenc. When clients upgrade to the Star Prestige package, they’ll gain access to an unrivalled array of benefits.
Clients who upgrade can enjoy a personalised check-in service in an exclusive area, be treated to special room amenities, a turndown service and à la carte breakfast in the hotel’s Salivent restaurant.
The best Star Prestige perks allow guests to maximise Majorca’s natural assets, with the hotel’s adult-only rooftop, reserved exclusively for them during the daytime, while a private area in the sun terrace offers another angle for clients to admire the island’s golden glamour. Complimentary bikes give clients the freedom to discover the region further too. Iberostar Selection Es Trenc shows clients a side of Majorca they may not have seen before, but won’t easily forget.
