Flight Centre has opened its 14th agency branch in the UK in central London.
The outlet in Mayfair is the sixth in the capital following a new store in Islington in July.
The Mayfair store manager Robert Pyle leads a team of five staff, having worked at other London-based branches since 2007.
He started out in the Chiswick store as a consultant and worked his way up to team leader. He then moved to a mega store in Putney as a before reopening a store in Clapham post-Covid.
Pyle said: “We’re all travel obsessed, all with our own areas of expertise, and in December we’re so excited to be welcoming a new team member who’s coming all the way from Australia which will really speak to our Aussie roots.”
Flight Centre UK general manager Joe Beevis said: “Just 50 metres from Oxford Street and only footsteps away from Bond Street Station, Flight Centre Mayfair is in a prime location meaning it’ll be the centre for travel for central London residents, businesses and high street shoppers, but also for people working in the area who might be looking to pop in over a lunch break to talk about all things travel.”
Visitors to the store on Thursday will have the opportunity to try and unlock a Flight Centre red suitcase by figuring out the three-digit combination code.
The first person to work out the code will win the suitcase and everything it contains, including a £1,000 G Adventures tour and a £250 Flight Centre gift card.
