SunExpress is expanding its UK and Ireland reach next summer with new flights to Turkey.
The Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines joint venture leisure carrier is to operate for the first time from East Midlands airport with three flights a week to Antalya.
The airline is also introducing flights from Gatwick and Manchester to Bodrum.
Cork is gaining two flights a week to Antalya while Dublin gains a twice-weekly Dalaman connection.
The expansion means the airline will raise capacity by 10% over this summer to 2.1 million seats from the UK and Ireland.
This will see SunExpress run up to 196 flights a week on 30 routes from an expanded 14 airports.
SunExpress said it was deepening collaboration with the UK travel trade by working closely with travel agents, tour operators, and distribution partners.
The airline said it was supporting the trade with flexible fare options, advanced booking tools, and tailored partnerships to meet diverse customer needs.
“As the UK and Ireland is SunExpress’ second core market, the airline remains committed to empowering the travel industry to deliver exceptional travel experiences to Turkey and beyond,” a statement added.
Head of sales Tobias Bracht said: “We are delighted to be expanding our UK and Ireland network with the launching of services from East Midlands airport.
“With direct flights to Turkey from 14 airports next summer, we will be offering more choice, convenience and value than ever before, reinforcing our commitment to being the leading leisure carrier from the UK and Ireland to Turkey.”
