More than 230 agents and operators gathered at Warner Leisure Hotels' Cricket St Thomas property in Somerset at the weekend to celebrate the best in the sector – the largest number to date.
The event included a day of activities and ended with a reception and awards ceremony.
Newell's Travel was the big winner scooping two gongs.
The husband and wife owners of the Cornwall and Devon-based agency chain won the outstanding contribution award, while the Newmarket Holidays Outstanding Agent award went to Newell's Travel, Truro.
Roger Hawke said: "We are delighted to have been named Newmarket's champion store of the year for 2017. Newmarket offers a fantastic support and we enjoy selling the product.
"We are humbled to have been presented with the outstanding contribution award. It isn't just for myself and Helen – the whole team across all Newell's Travel stores has gone into making our business the success that it is today.”
The Travel Brit Awards, for which Travel Weekly is media partner, reward and recognise excellence in selling domestic holidays.
They are organised by Bourne Leisure, Great Rail Journeys, Hoseasons, Shearings, Super Break, VisitEngland, Abta, Airways Holidays, VisitGuernsey, Condor Ferries and Newmarket Holidays.
Midcounties Co-operative was named ambassador of the year.
