Advantage Global Business Travel to create advisory board

Advantage Global Business Travel is to establish an advisory board, with experts from across the corporate travel sector to help drive its “ambitious” growth strategy and enhance support for members and partners.

The experts will be drawn from Advantage’s UK and global network, and include representatives from aviation, technology, accommodation and other disciplines.

The consortium said the board will be tasked with supporting Advantage’s Global Business Travel’s goals and strategic direction.

Suzanne Horner, Gray Dawes chief executive, and James Beagrie, managing director of Meon Valley Travel, will also join the advisory board.

Andrea Caulfield-Smith (pictured), Advantage Global Business Travel managing director, said: “A fundamental part of our ability to be agile to the changing landscape across our industry is ensuring our strategy responds to the member and supplier landscape across the whole ecosystem.

“Through the creation of this advisory board, we will continually pressure-test our thinking, ensuring we take bold steps to positively disrupt the business travel sector alongside our members and partners.

“Over the coming weeks we will be reaching out to prospects who will be appointed to the advisory board for their knowledge and direct experience in problem-solving and having a track record of providing insight, skill and subject matter expertise.”
