Amadeus River Cruises is to introduce a new "eco-friendly" river ship in Europe in 2027.
Amadeus Mira will join sister vessel Amadeus Aurea which is due to enter service next year.
The new ship will feature an updated hybrid-electric propulsion system complemented by an advanced control and positioning system for maximum efficiency.
Additional sustainable features include solar panels for supplemental power, a heat recovery system to optimise energy use, and special glass panelling to minimise heat loss and temperature fluctuations, according to the line.
The 158-passenger Amadus Mira will sail the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers. Accommodation will be split between 12 suites and 67 cabins.
Features include wind-protected lounge areas, an open-air ‘Café Vienna’ gallery, a dedicated massage and fitness area and large sun deck featuring a heated pool and lido bar.
Bookings for the 2027 season are expected to open in January.
Company founder and chief executive Wolfgang Luftner said “On board our fleet, cutting-edge environmental technology and luxurious design go hand in hand.
“With Amadeus Mira, we continue this 40-year tradition of excellence, meeting the growing global demand for luxury river cruises with contemporary, innovative solutions.
“The strong interest from our guests and the resulting growth make us proud and reaffirm that our commitment to pioneering shipbuilding is the right path forward.”
