Additional capacity is being added on a newly-resumed Scottish Highlands air route.
Air Charter Scotland has deployed a leased Jetstream aircraft on the Aberdeen-Wick route, operated under a Public Service Obligation (PSO) arrangement.
The 18-seat aircraft brings an additional 10 seats a day on the service.
The Glasgow-based airline started flying the route on January 15 with a Beechcraft King Air 200.
The lifeline route for the community of Caithness had been left unserved for several months following Eastern Airways’ closure in October 2025.
The Jetsteam turboprop is now operating under a wet lease from AIS Airlines of the Netherlands withy fares starting at £89.99 one-way.
The on-demand charter operator has been contracted with The Highland Council to serve the route.
The alternative to the flight of just under an hour in duration is an almost five-hour journey by road.
