New Disney Cruise Line ship Disney Wish has been floated out from an enclosed shipyard in Germany.
Work will continue on the vessel ahead of its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral in Florida – an hour from Walt Disney World Resort – on July 14.
The ship will sail on three- and four-night itineraries to Nassau, Bahamas, and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
Disney Wish is the first of a trio of new Disney Cruise Line ships to be built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg by 2025.
Each 144,000 gross ton vessel will be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG).
One of the two funnels on Disney Wish will house a two-story suite at almost 2,000 square feet in size.
The ship will include the first Disney attraction at sea, dining themed to Frozen and Marvel and a Star Wars-themed lounge.
