Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has appointed Gary Anslow as senior sales director in the UK and Ireland to help grow existing travel agency accounts and attract new ones.
The line said Anslow (pictured) will focus “on expanding NCL’s market share in the region” and would lead a sales team of 10 in the UK and Ireland, one of NCL’s “leading markets” outside the US and Canada
Anslow will report into Eamonn Ferrin, vice president of international sales.
Anslow left his Cunard sales director role more than two months ago after more than three years at the cruise line.
Prior to Cunard, he spent seven years at Monarch Travel Group as sales director for brands including Monarch Holidays, Cosmos Holidays and Avalon Waterways.
He also has experience at board and senior leadership team level at PepsiCo and Diageo.
Ferrin said Anslow “brings an impressive skillset and extensive senior-level experience in the travel industry, which will be instrumental toward NCL’s growth in the UK and Ireland”.
He added: “Gary has a proven track record of delivering high value projects combined with longer term strategic thinking.
“Having him lead our operations in one of our most important markets is a testament to our growth strategy.”
