MSC Cruises will sail Alaska itineraries for the first time between May and September 2026.
MSC Poesia will operate weekly seven-night sailings from its homeport in Seattle, with ports of call including Ketchikan, Icy Strait Hoonah, Tracy Arm, Juneau and Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.
There will be a range of shore excursions on offer including ATV expeditions, ziplining, whale-watching and activities focused on culinary experiences and indigenous culture.
Prices for the voyages lead in at £679, or £939 including drinks.
There will also be two itineraries that cross the Panama Canal between Seattle and Miami.
The first Grand Voyage Panama Canal voyage is on sale now and departs Miami on April 23, 2026.
Prior to these sailings, MSC Poesia will complete a transatlantic crossing starting in Civitavecchia (Rome) on April 6, 2026, and calling in Genoa (Italy), Marseille (France), Barcelona (Spain), Funchal (Madeira), Philipsburg (St Maarten) and Ocean Cay (The Bahamas) before arriving in Miami.
Gianni Onorato, MSC Cruises chief executive said: “By introducing sailings to Alaska we’re further extending our global offering and giving our guests the opportunity to experience this must-see region.
“These new itineraries also see the introduction of a new homeport in the US, our fifth to date. Seattle is the perfect location to depart for Alaska, with excellent international flight connections making it easily accessible to guests from around the world, in particular we know our European guests have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to sail to Alaska with MSC Cruises.
“MSC Poesia will be dedicated to sailing itineraries from the US, spending summer ‘26 cruising to Alaska and then moving to Miami for the winter, meaning we’ll also be offering travellers the chance to experience two transiting cruises through the Panama Canal when the ship moves between the east and west coast.”
