MSC Cruises says it hopes to resume its sailings in Greece by Easter but has postponed the return of MSC Magnifica.
The Italian line has resumed some ex-Italy cruises since August 2020, with a short break in operations over the Christmas period. Flagship MSC Grandiosa returned to the water after the festive pause on January 25.
MSC said today that it is working closely with Greek Ministry of Tourism and other local authorities in the country “in time to serve cruise passengers visiting Greece starting with the upcoming Easter holiday period”.
MSC Magnifica was scheduled to resume sailings on February 14, on a Greece-bound itinerary, but the line said its return has been postponed until April 29. Its Eastern Mediterranean voyages will operate from Easter and throughout the summer.
Guests booked on MSC Magnifica through to April 29 will be offered the option to rebook on MSC Grandiosa, which is currently sailing in the Western Mediterranean but also have the option to receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit valid for sailings taking place on or before April 30, 2022.
