Disney Cruise Line has opened bookings for its newest ship and revealed a ‘Heroes and Villains’ theme which will shape venues and entertainment on board.
Disney Destiny, sister ship to Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, will sail its maiden voyage from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 20, 2025.
The ship will then sail four and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and western Caribbean during its inaugural season, with stops at Disney Cruise Line’s private island destinations Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
A three-night Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale sailing to Disney Castaway Cay and Nassau leads in at £1,480 based on two sharing an inside cabin.
The new theme will encompass characters across Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Disney Parks, with the signature stern character to be a Marvel superhero for the first time with a sculpture of Spider Man.
Disney Cruise Line will add two dining experiences to Disney Destiny; Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King and Marvel superhero-themed 1923 which will have themed menus, design and entertainment.
A new confectionery option, Edna À La Mode Sweets, will offer handmade gelato, cookies, sweets and specialty treats from Edna Mode’s lab.
Meanwhile, the Grand Hall of Disney Destiny will showcase Marvel Studios’ Black Panther films, with a statue of the character in the middle of the space.
A variety of shows, meet-and-greets and special appearances throughout the ship will be on offer, including two new experiences with Cruella de Vil, parlour tricks with Dr Facilier, and experiences with Maleficent and Loki.
There is more entertainment for adults with De Vil’s piano lounge, a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed Cask & Cannon pub and, for the first time, a parlour centred on artefacts from Dr Strange called The Sanctum.
Most staterooms on board will offer a split bathroom and many will have a connecting door to accommodate larger groups.
There are four royal suites on board with either décor inspired by Hercules or The Incredibles, and the 2,000 square-foot Destiny Tower Suite will be based on industrial designs by Tony Stark aka Iron Man.
