MSC raises Jet2 airline capacity by 42% to serve Med cruises

Flights by Jet2.com will be used by to serve an expanded MSC Cruises’ UK fly-cruise programme for summer 2026.   

The number of seats available with the airline will rise by 42% over this year.

Next summer’s programme involves flights from key UK airports including Edinburgh, Manchester and Belfast International to feed ships in Mediterranean destinations such as Naples, Palma, Barcelona and Rome.

Ships available include MSC World Europa, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Seaview, MSC Divina and MSC Splendida. 

International sales vice president Antonio Paradiso said: “Demand from our UK and Irish guests for Mediterranean sailings continues to grow rapidly, with bookings up over 15% year on year. 

“For 2026, we’re excited to offer an increase in seat capacity from the UK, giving our guests even more convenient access to stunning destinations like Naples, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Rome.

“Thanks to our strengthened partnership with Jet2.com, we now provide more seats on direct flights than ever before. Together, we’re committed to delivering seamless fly and cruise experiences that let our guests begin their holiday with ease, comfort, and confidence.”
