A new chair has been elected at the Visit USA Association (UK) as it marks its 30th anniverary.
Andy Facer, representing Alabama Tourism, succeeds Julie Greenhill, representing Philadelphia, who will continue to serve on the board of the organisation after four years as chair.
Brendan Croft, representing Salt Lake City, joins the leadership team as deputy chair.
Geoff Dobson from Travelbag was elected to the board to serve for the next two years as six serving board members were re-elected.
Visit USA UK membership numbers of 216 have surpassed pre-Covid levels for the first time on its 30th anniversary, with other applications pending.
The Visit USA website has been updated with a new special events landing page to provide information on key events this year including the Fifa World Cup, 100 years of Route 66, and America250.
Facer said: “We are incredibly grateful to Julie for her leadership over the last four years.
“Our membership levels are strong, and we are on an upward trajectory.
“I look forward to working with the board and our membership to continue championing the USA, celebrating the remarkable breadth of experiences, landscapes and cities that make it such a compelling place to visit.”
Croft added: “I’m excited to help grow and evolve the organisation while championing travel to the USA across the UK market.”
Visit UK chief executive Kate Kenward said: “Visit USA UKs mantra is ‘for the members, by the
members’.
“Our board play a very active role in the running of the association while maintaining their day jobs.
“The team at VUSAUK HQ are grateful for their time and commitment as the association celebrates the many milestone events coming up in 2026.”
