Ponant Explorations Group is introducing more flexible booking conditions to encourage sales by the end of the month.
The French company will enable travel agency clients to change or postpone cruises free of charge.
The initiative, called a Serenity policy, only applies to bookings made until April 30.
The move is to “support the activities of commercial partners to help them plan their clients’ upcoming voyages”.
Ponant said that “for any new booking made until 30 April 2026, they will be able to change or postpone cruises, free of charge, for a departure within the same year or earlier”.
The deposit is non-refundable but fully transferable to a new booking and transfer requests must be submitted at least 90 days prior to departure.
The new cruise must take place within the same year and be of equal or higher value than the original booking, according to the line.
“All rebookings remain subject to availability and prevailing pricing at the time of confirmation, Ponant added.
Meanwhile, Ponant-owned Paul Gauguin Cruises has issued a 2028 brochure covering sailings in the archipelagos of Polynesia and the South Pacific.
Six itineraries and almost 40 departures are featured by the ship MS Paul Gauguin from seven to 14 nights in duration, linking the Society Islands, the Tuamotus, the Marquesas and the Cook Islands.
