Edward Byrne will join the Abta board of directors, replacing Diverse World Ltd chairman Jamie Gardiner, whose term will come to an end at the Abta AGM on December 4.
Byrne, who is chief executive of PB International Travel Limited, which trades as Powder Byrne, will hold the seat for Abta members with annual principal turnover of less than £50m.
Daniele Broccoli will continue on the board, being a member with retail turnover of less than £20m.
Nominations were invited for both positions and in both cases they were the only nominations received, meaning there was no need to hold an election.
