Premier Holidays says it is “working quickly” to rebook clients affected by the shutdown of Channel Islands airline Blue Islands.
The tour operator mobilised its crisis team on Friday evening to support all travel agents and clients impacted by the news the airline had suspended operations.
The company is currently in discussions with other carriers to increase capacity to the islands and hopes all to have all its 2026 routes protected by the end of the week.
Both Loganair and Aurigny airlines have stepped in with extra flight services to support and protect imminent travel following the news.
The operator reassured both the trade and clients that all its packages remained fully financially protected and that clients would not face any financial loss as a result of the airline suspending flights.
So far it has contacted all clients due to travel up to December.
In a statement, it said: “We remain fully committed to supporting all affected by this news.
“Our operations team is proactively contacting impacted customers in strict departure-date order to arrange rebooking at the earliest opportunity.”
The company added that the situation showed the advantages of booking a package with an Atol-protected operator.
It read: “This situation highlights the real benefits of booking a package with us. When unexpected issues arise, our agents and customers are never left to manage the disruption alone.
“Our dedicated travel experts - including a team based in the Channel Islands, are on the ground to assist directly, and our long-standing relationships with partner airlines help us secure alternative routes and capacity quickly.
“All our holidays are 100% financially protected, meaning your clients won’t be left out of pocket - their money and plans remain safe.”
Its Channel Islands holidays remain on sale for 2026 and is featuring any updates on the situation on a dedicated travel updates page on its website.
