Qatar Airways names new UK & Ireland country manager

Former Emirates executive Andrew Bunn is joining Gulf rival Qatar Airways as UK and Ireland country manager.

He is moving from ITA Airways, which he joined in 2021 after seven years in various roles at Emirates including vice-president of sales in the US.

He started up the Italian airline’s operations across the UK, Ireland and Nordic region.

Bunn began his aviation career at Lufthansa in 1997, including several senior roles based in Asia.

Qatar Airways described him as having a “proven track record of maintaining the highest standards at some of the world’s largest and most prestigious flag carrier airlines”.
